The National Semiconductor Technology Center (NSTC)
The newly opened National Semiconductor Technology Center (NSTC) invites members from across the semiconductor ecosystem to collaborate in advancing U.S. semiconductor innovation. This landmark public-private initiative aims to reduce lab-to-fab time, expand the semiconductor workforce, and foster an innovation hub through its “core” and “affiliate” memberships, available to companies, universities, nonprofits, and government entities. A vital part of this vision is the Workforce Center of Excellence, set to deliver workforce training alongside technical resources like a design enablement gateway and direct funding for research. Natcast, the NSTC’s operator, encourages early membership engagement to shape the NSTC’s mission, with initial programming underway and full-scale activities beginning in 2025.
To join the National Semiconductor Technology Center (NSTC), organizations must have a meaningful U.S. presence and not be classified as Foreign Entities of Concern or from Foreign Countries of Concern. Eligible entities include companies, academic institutions, consortia operators, government agencies focused on semiconductor R&D, investors, and workforce intermediaries. Individuals and unincorporated sole proprietors are not eligible for membership.
