Sam Altman is busy to say the least!

OpenAI CEO Sam Altman visited Samsung Electronics and SK Group in South Korea to discuss an AI semiconductor alliance and investment opportunities. Altman expressed concern about the growing shortage of AI chips and expressed a willingness to purchase High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) from Samsung and SK. He also met with executives from AI startups in South Korea that have received investment from these companies. Altman is also in talks with potential major investors, including Abu Dhabi-based G42 and SoftBank Group Corp, to build a multi-billion dollar global network of AI chip factories. Microsoft, OpenAI’s partner, has also unveiled its AI chips for the first time in November 2023. Altman is also working with ex-Apple designer Jony Ive to develop AI hardware for consumers.
