About Jeffrey
Jeffrey Cooper is a technology writer and author of the Amazon best-seller Foot Soldier in the Fourth Industrial Revolution: A Memoir. His newest work is a trilogy of near-future novels on AI, beginning with When Machines Begin to Dream — a love story, a thriller, and a meditation on free will. The book explores the rise of sentient machines and what it means to be truly alive in a world that isn’t ready. It is scheduled for release in 2025.
Cooper spent nearly five decades working with global technology leaders including GE, ABB, Lockheed Martin, and ASML. At ASML — the world’s largest semiconductor lithography company — he spent 14 years managing strategic supplier accounts across the U.S., Europe, and Asia for robotics, mechatronics, and motion control systems. Earlier, he served as director of global supply chain management at ABB and held senior roles in finance, compliance, and operations at GE Aerospace.
His memoir, Foot Soldier in the Fourth Industrial Revolution, blends personal history with a front-row view of the computer revolution, from the rise of industrial automation to the inner workings of some of the most powerful tech companies on earth. The book has earned critical praise and a 5-star “Readers’ Favorite” award.
Cooper earned his B.A. cum laude in English from Syracuse University and completed the prestigious GE Financial Management Program. He lives in Syracuse, NY, with his life partner, Mei Lin King.
