Merideth Andreucci’s appointment as the inaugural Executive Director of GO SEMI was announced by New York State Governor Kathy Hochul on May 21, 2024.

GO SEMI is the Governor’s Office of Semiconductor Expansion, Management, and Integration. Its key responsibilities include Leading and centralizing efforts to implement the $100 Billion Micron project in Clay, NY (see picture) and developing policies to attract the semiconductor industry and supply chain to New York.

Andreucci previously was the program development manager at the Rochester Institute of Technology’s Golisano Institute for Sustainability. In her new role, she will lead GO SEMI’s efforts to develop policies attracting more semiconductor companies to New York, coordinate workforce development initiatives, support community investments, and ensure the successful implementation of the Micron mega fab project.

The agency builds on New York’s robust semiconductor ecosystem of 76 companies employing over 34,000 New Yorkers and the world-class Albany Nanotech Complex. With Micron’s mega fab expected to create nearly 50,000 jobs statewide, GO SEMI will cement New York as a global semiconductor hub.
