AI-Powered Organizations: Nvidia’s CEO Jensen Huang Says It’s the New Industrial Revolution. Jensen Huang says the chip giant is taking its own advice by applying AI to areas like chip design and supply chain and creating an ‘AI brain’
The Future of Business is AI-Driven
Speaking at Gartner’s IT Symposium/Xpo, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang emphasized that companies must embrace AI to stay competitive in what he describes as a “new industrial revolution.” He urged CIOs to integrate AI into key areas like chip design, software development, and supply chain management, which have profoundly impacted Nvidia’s operations. Huang explained that companies should focus on identifying the most transformative tasks AI can enhance, allowing them to unlock exponential value by turning everyday business processes into AI-driven workflows.
Building an AI Brain for Your Business
Huang also shared Nvidia’s vision of creating an “AI brain” encompassing a company’s collective knowledge and business processes, enabling CEOs and CIOs to interact directly with AI. Nvidia is already applying this concept by transforming its private data into AI-ready formats, including unstructured data like PDFs and emails. Looking ahead, he envisions large-scale deployment of AI agents in roles such as marketing, sales, and engineering, collaborating with human employees. Nvidia is actively working with SAP, ServiceNow, and Accenture to realize this vision in private and public data centers.
My Take
The push for AI-powered organizations is inevitable, but companies must balance ambition with strategy. CIOs should carefully assess where AI can add the most value and begin by integrating it into key business areas to maximize impact without overwhelming their teams.
